Whether you have one or many homeschooled children there is always a paper trail. I easily become overwhelmed by the stack of papers to grade or read, inevitably they clutter the counter or school desk. One way to limit the chaos of school papers is to buy your pupils dedicated notebooks instead. Your general $1 notebook may have done the trick when YOU were in school, but as the homeschool teacher and parent you may find they aren’t the best option for you NOW. For several years now we have used the Schoolnest notebooks for various subjects. My absolute favorites are the Narration Notebook and the Intermediate Mathematics notebook.

There are plenty of pages so the kids only occasionally needed a second journal to finish out the year. We always look forward to our new journals at the beginning of the school year!

The mathematics notebook really helps cut down on all the loose math pages! Bonus: if you have your child label each problem you can easily look back on it if they need help. Also make sure they place one number in each square, this really helps cut down on accidental mistakes!
Now you can breathe a breath of fresh air, one pile of books to keep stacked, not piles of loose leaf paper. Plus at the end of the year you have a built in record of all the learning that has taken place, it’s always a treasure to look through 🙂
